Nourishing the lands of Sri Lanka, SunAgro LifeScience Limited bridges the gap between agricultural enthusiasts and essential agronomic products and services, taking their agronomical dreams to astronomical success. After being incorporated in January 2006, SunAgro LifeScience Limited started selling agrochemicals (chemicals used for crop protection) in April of the same year. Now, after sixteen years in the business, SunAgro is ranked seventh in the sector. Despite beginning with a generic line of crop protection chemicals, SunAgro now represents well-known companies like FMC-USA, Bayer-Germany, CORTIVA, and UPL-India for some of their essential crop protection chemicals, fertilisers, growth promoters, and hybrid seeds. Our primary concentration is on agri-inputs, but we also carry certain products that are evaluated and approved by the Rubber Research Institute of Sri Lanka for use as latex stimulants in rubber plantations. SunAgro plays a major role in the proprietary segment (patented products). We are registered with the Registrar of Companies and has been in operation in Sri Lanka for more than 50 years, is completely owned by Lankem Ceylon PLC and is registered at No. 98, Sri Sangaraja Mawatha, Colombo 10, Sri Lanka.

To help Sri Lanka's farming community find the best answers for the issues facing their crops, SunAgro now imports and distributes agri-inputs, such as non-straight fertilisers, seeds, and crop protection chemicals. The company's primary activity is still marketing agri-inputs, but it is exploring potential avenues for diversification.

Operating mostly in the agricultural input industry, SunAgro specialises in seeds, fertilisers, yield enhancers, and crop protection chemicals (weedicides, insecticides, and fungicides). Additionally, we offer specialty goods for rubber plantations that need latex boosters.
